# Listing a collection on Home Depot

You need: the batch site, and a Home Depot IDM login. About 45 minutes per colour, most of it waiting for uploads.

The site never changes anything on Home Depot by itself. It makes files; **you** upload them. If a step shows a red
message, stop and send it to Vincent — it means something isn't ready, and pushing on makes a mess that's slow to undo.

## Step 1 — Choose the batch

Pick one from **Ready to run**. If the colour you want is greyed out under "Not set up yet", it isn't ready; ask Vincent.

Check the table shows the items and sizes you expect, then move on.

## Step 2 — Check the photos

Click **Check Shopify photos**. You want "Every size has real photos."

If sizes are flagged, don't continue — the items would end up with no photos on Home Depot. Send Vincent the message.

Then click **Copy UPC list** and, on Home Depot:
- Search for Items, and set **Search By** to **UPC** (it starts on OMSID and finds nothing — this catches everyone)
- Paste the UPCs. **You should get no results.** If any item is found, stop: it already exists.

## Step 3 — Create the items

The parent IDs are already filled in. Click **Build create sheets** and you get a ZIP of one sheet per size.

On Home Depot: **Upload Quicksheets** → upload each sheet → choose the final **Upload**, not Validate.

Then search the UPCs again (Search By = UPC). Every item should now have an OMSID number. "Succeeded" on the upload is
not proof; the search is.

## Step 4 — Add the Home Depot files

Two downloads from Home Depot:
1. **Enrich template**: select your new items on the Enrich tab → Generate Quicksheet → download. Don't open it in Excel.
2. **Sibling export**: search the live collection Vincent told you to copy from → Export → **All Maintenance Attributes**.

Load both into step 4. The site checks them and shows the weights it found.

## Step 5 — Photos and spec sheets

- **Build photo ZIP** → upload on Home Depot under **Images & Digital Assets**, type **JPEG Image**.
- **Build spec sheets** → upload the same way, but type **PDF Document**.

If spec sheets are refused, it's because the product facts aren't confirmed for that colour. That's Vincent's job, not
something to work around.

Then collect the asset IDs:
- On the Images & Digital Assets screen, search this batch's assets (Vincent will tell you the pattern, e.g. `MNH_TK_GLD_*`)
- Click the **Capture asset IDs** bookmark on your bookmarks bar (drag it there once from step 5)
- It saves **guids.json**

## Step 6 — Enrich the items

Choose the guids.json file and click **Build enrich sheets**. Upload them through **Upload Quicksheets**, final Upload.

Anything the site holds back is listed with a reason. Held items are safe — they simply weren't filled in. Send the list
to Vincent.

To confirm it worked, open one item on Home Depot and check the cost and colour, or re-export the items.

## Step 7 — CommerceHub

The site lists every item with its vendor SKU, OMSID, UPC and description. In CommerceHub, add an Inventory SKU for each:
**Qty 5, Available, NEW, 5–9 days**. Click a value to copy it; tick each row as you save it.

## If something looks wrong

- **A search on Home Depot finds nothing** → check Search By is on UPC.
- **An upload "Succeeded" but nothing changed** → you probably used Images & Digital Assets for a sheet. Sheets go
  through Upload Quicksheets; only photos and PDFs go through Images & Digital Assets.
- **A red message on the site** → it's a stop, not a suggestion. Send it to Vincent.
- **Anything about parents, colours, materials or sizes** → setup, so Vincent.

Never click Save & Submit on an item, and never send items to Maintenance. Both cause problems that take days to fix.
